3D Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Tiny scopes with stereoscopic views in the nasal cavity can provide depth perception, allowing surgeons to intuitively identify sinus structures. This capability could assist surgeons in cutting lesions and enlarging the sinus ostium precisely.

3D Myringoplasty & Tympanoplasty

Tiny scopes with stereoscopic views in the ear canal may provide a wide-angle view with depth perception for surgeons, a capability that 2D flat endoscopic images cannot achieve. Surgeons may perform repairs of the tympanic membrane and middle ear ossicles with a sense of multi-level and layers in 3D. Therefore, 3D helps reduce risks and improve safety during surgery, and patients can be cured without unaesthetic scars.

3D Congenital Ossicular Anomaly

In the middle ear, 3D can provide better vision to identify the nerve, aiding during the implantation of artificial ossicles. Furthermore, a 3mm scope is suitable for most of the auditory canal for Asians. However, there is no 3D solution for surgeons to handle difficult procedures using a 3mm scope, except for DARWIN 3D Endoscopic Visualization System.
